I had an excellent experience with Dr Silani. We had an online video call prior to meeting in person. Dr Silani and his staff are very professional, compassionate and knowledgable. He ran several tests and explained the results of all of them. He probed my glands after numbing my eyelids. I felt no pain at all and immediately felt some improvement. He also did Blephex and an IPL with expression. I know it will take time to feel the full results of the probing, but I am very encouraged after just two days. I highly recommend Dr Silani.

Dr. Silani is the best out here. l've been seeing him for years, and over the years I have received exceptional treatment. He is passionate about his field of expertise, and continues to educate himself, as well as his patients, with the latest and greatest in the world of optometry. In addition to providing excellent eye care he takes a personal interest in each of his patients, so you're dealing with someone who genuinely cares about you as a person. I have dry eyes and also dealt with obstructed meibomian glands on top of my sucky vision, so we've done meibomian gland probing to save the glands I have left (because once they're gone, they're gone), and we've done tear care, which is a process that unclogs oil glands in the eyelid, that helps create healthy tears and natural lubrication for the eyelids. Lastly, I was interested in getting Lasik, and after my eyesight had shown to be unchanging for I think about a year or so, the office was quick to give me a referral for a Lasik consultation. So great experience all around, glad I found this office. And all of the office staff is also very nice. I'm always more concerned with the treatment as opposed to how nice people are, but for the one's who also take that into consideration, you'll be pleased with your experience.

Dr. Silani started treating me for dry eye on May 20, 2025 with Opti-Plus & Opti-Light. I had upper/lower blephoplasty on May 15, 2024 and experienced dry eye that worsened over time. I was using eye ointments at night for almost 4 months & about 20-30 drops of lubricant tears daily. My dependence on eye drops was not immediate after the treatments, but diminished use after about 3 weeks and by 6 weeks post-treatment I was down to 5-7 drops per day! This is a huge improvement;) today - July 10 is my 2nd treatment with both light/plus & im looking forward to even more reduced need for drops! Highly recommend this modality as it’s non-invasive and easy!

About a year ago, I suddenly developed severe dry eyes and melbomian gland dysfunction. After trying a few drops, I knew I needed more help, and finding Dr. Silani was the turning point. He has truly saved me. This has been a long and difficult journey, but Dr. Silani has been with me every step, carefully planning each phase of treatment and never giving up. Some treatments did not work for me, but because he has every tool and advanced technology available, we were able to find the ones that made a huge difference. Prokera finally cleared my stubborn SPK completely and the pain that came with it, and OptiVize transformed my MGD (the company that makes it calls it a cure and l laughed about that but ... it it maybe actually?). Xiidra drops took a while to work, but sticking it through, they have also clearly made an impact. My expressions now show clear oils coming out of most glands, when at the beginning nothing was coming out at all and my tear breakup time is significantly improved. What sets Dr. Silani apart is not just his skill and resources, but the way he listens, explains, and genuinely cares. He also has the best and most caring team. They make it easy to schedule and communicate and Brandy has been amazing throughout this process as well! He never dismisses how I feel, takes the time to answer every question, and is determined to help his patients get their lives back. I had tried IPL, RF, Blephex, plugs, serum drops, Rinsada, Miebo, every advanced drop on the market, quitting makeup, eye masks, heat masks, lid scrubbers, everything!! but it was his strategic approach and the right combination of treatments that gave me lasting relief. If you are struggling with dry eye and feel like nothing has worked, you absolutely need to see Dr. Silani. He is a rare combination of world-class expertise, cutting-edge tools, and true compassion. I waited a couple of months to post a review because getting my eyes back on track has been a process. Fortunately, Dr. Silani and everyone in his office have been partners in my treatment plan - and, no exaggeration, they've given me my quality of life back. I had visited 3 other ophthalmologists for chronic styes and was prescribed steroids each time. None of the doctors could advise me about the root cause, and that created a lot of anxiety for me. Was it an allergic reaction to something? An infection? Since the issue was intermittent, I never knew it would flare up on a trip or prevent me from fully participating in life events on the horizon. Upon my first visit, I felt like Dr. Silani really listened. He described and then executed a plan that involved Lid Hygiene (inexpensive), Drops (inexpensive), Eye Supplements (inexpensive), Night-therapy Ointment (inexpensive) + 3 office-based treatments: BlephEx, iLux, and IPL. These treatments aren't cheap, but Dr. Silani performs the services himself, and they're time-consuming. None of the other doctors I visited even suggested or had these tools. My eyes would have continued to deteriorate if I hadn't started working with Dr. Silani and his staff. I'm truly grateful and would recommend his office to anyone committed to finding a long-term solution for their eye discomfort. I feel like he digs in to find the right treatment, and he really cares about his patients.

Visiting Dr. Kambiz Silani at Beverly Hills Optometry Advanced Dry Eye Center was the best decision I could have made. Having trained at a dry eye center of excellence years ago, I thought I was familiar with most treatment modalities. To my surprise, Dr. Silani's office introduced me to an incredible array of advancements in dry eye management that I wasn't aware of. His office truly feels like the epicenter of cutting-edge technology for dry eye care. In addition to managing my dry eye symptoms, I sought Dr. Silani's expertise to address two chronic styes (chalazions) that I had been dealing with for quite some time. Rather than opting for the traditional incision and drainage approach, I chose to try laser treatment. The experience was beyond anything I expected. Dr Silani has been incredible over the years. He’s really helped my ocular rosacea and Blepharitis conditions with IPL, BlephEx, and other treatments. He recently recommended a new medication called Xdemvy. After undergoing treatment with Dr. Silani and staff for about 2 years, I feel like it's an appropriate time to write about my experience. From the minute I stepped into the office, I felt a huge wave of relief, knowing that my issues with dry eye were both seen and heard. Visits with my previous ophthalmologist felt extremely transactional; a simple diagnosis was made and various prescription drops thrown at me. I showed little to no improvement. However, at Dr. Silani's office, various in-depth tests were done to understand the health of my cornea, glands, and the overall dryness level of my eyes. I learned over the years from Dr. Silani that treatment of dry eye is a multi-step approach which involves not only prescription drops, but treatment devices that help to attack dryness at different angles. After 2 years, I can confidently say that my eyes have improved so much due to the effective and consistent treatment that Dr. Silani has provided. l've tried a bunch of things, but what has seemed to help the most has been IPL, meibomian gland expression, gland probing, eyelid hygiene, and lifestyle changes. I owe it to Dr. Silani's expertise in getting my dry eye under control and ultimately changing my life. What I appreciate the most is his passion for his job and his patients. He is empathetic, kind, and humble. I also appreciate how he proactively keeps up with advances in treatments instead of staying in a comfort zone. Flew to come see this specialist for dry, red eyes/eyelids and was not disappointed, Dr Silani has such a wonderful, kind bedside manner and made me feel at ease when it was time for IPL, that was the reason I flew out to Beverly Hills and got so nervous and almost didn't get it done, he assured me it's very safe, he's done thousands of them with over a decade of experience in treating dry eye, he was very gentle with the procedure and very knowledgeable and could answer any questions I had with more education. A truly break through experiencence for my eyelids! Before my visit I didn't even know what "dry eyes" meant. In fact, I thought I had excessively wet eyes, because of how much they watered at night. I found out that it was the opposite situation, and that my eyes were watering because so many of my tear ducts were plugged. Dr. Silani suggested some treatments, which I elected to do. Boy am I glad. Both Dr. Silani and the assistant were very gentle. My eyes feel so much better.

I highly recommend the Beverly Hills Optometry Team and Dr Silani. If you are suffering from dry eye, he is the one to see. Don't waste your time/money anywhere else. The difference between his knowledge and the last few doctors l've seen is huge. Based on the reviews, treatments offered, and my initial interactions with the amazing office staff I went into my first visit with pretty high expectations, and I was still surprised at the amount of time and care that I was shown. He spent more time with me in one visit than my last doctor spent with me over 7 months! He explained the issue in detail and I was able to start treatments the same day. Dr Silani even does all the prep work and the clean ups for the procedures himself!!! Prior to coming here, I was starting to lose my faith in doctors/medical system, but I left the office feeling more optimistic than I have in months. This is the first time I have felt listened to and that someone actually cares. I still have a long way to go, but l'm so glad that I found this place. Hands down the best doctor I have ever been to.

In a small office in Beverly HIlls sits a large amount of the most advanced cutting edge eye equipment and the most wonderful Ophthalmologist: Dr. Silani! I have been going there for 3 years to control my dry eyes among other issues. Dr. Silani caught a torn retina and cataracts and sent me to the best surgeons. Often our sessions run over not because he is slow but because we are discussing the latest restaurants to go to. The entire staff is so nice. In sharing what has been instrumental in my dry eye success, I have to mention finding a dry eye support group. Initially, being sofa ridden and in so much pain/anxiety/ depression, joining a support group and reading about the so many suggestions, stories, research shared, and different otc products everyone used to help combat this horrible dry eye disease was helpful for me. So was the support of knowing that this was actually a "thing" and I wasn't going crazy. Without a dry eye support group, I may never have found my amazing dry eye specialist Kambiz Silani. He is very knowledgeable about this disease, passionate about his work, and is up to date with all the newest treatments. I started my journey with him only about a little over a year and a half ago and can report there are some davs I don't even notice or think about my eyes! I have quality of life again! Yes, I still have bad eye days, but overall I would rate my eyes at around 90% improved. There is so much hope for this disease. Medicine evolves and I hope to evolve with it.

I had upper eyelid surgery earlier this year which triggered ongoing and unbearable dry eye symptoms. many days, I have to put in drops every 30 minutes and often have to wake up in the middle of the night since my eyes get sooo dry. Never experienced dry eye in my life until about a few weeks ago when my eyes felt gritty like sandpaper or as though there were small pebbles in my eyes. They have recently also looked more red and feel really sensitive to light. At the first visit, Dr Silani quickly diagnosed filaments on my cornea, clogged oil glands, tears evaporated too quickly and eyelid rosacea. Not only does Dr. Silani have the latest dry eye technology, but he walks you through the entire testing and diagnosis process so you can see what images and values they are looking at. As someone who reads a lot of scientific literature on dry eye, it was refreshing to hear Dr. Silani quote a lot of the articles I have read about, which really showed that he stays up to date on the latest treatments and studies. After having the iLux, ZEST, and 1 IPL treatment I saw a 75-80% improvement in my symptoms after around 2 weeks. Going in for my monthly IPL treatments are so much fun and honesty feels like visiting a friend to catch up and chat. The staff are also SO kind and really know how to run an efficient clinic. Not even comparable to some other clinics I’ve been to where waits can be upwards of 2 hours with an appointment!! I developed a stye for the first time and went to urgent care. They didn’t seem confident in their eval so I wanted a second opinion and a co-worker told me about Beverly Hills Optometry. I’ve always had a great experience checking my vision and eye health with Dr Younany and Silani. Within the last year, I’ve been having lots of eye problems. Dr Silani diagnosed me with eyelid rosacea, blepharitis, clogged oil glands called MGD. He started me on three in-office treatments to deep clean my eyelids, another to reduce eyelid inflammation and a third to clear out the bad oils glands. at first, I was concerned about the IPL bc I take blood thinners but my prescribing doctor just had me stop for a few days before treatment then restart that evening to prevent bruising. It worked! Love the TearCare and Ilux. I’ve noticed that when I keep my treatments to about 4-6 weeks, my eyes feel great. I used to do one treatment at a time but I find it best when I combine the blephex, IPL, ilux on the same visit. I get better results. Newest technology and friendly team every time I’m here. My optometry in the valley referred me to Dr Silani & Beverly Hills Optometry for their expertise in dry eye. I was really pleased to visit his practice, where I was greeted by a friendly staff, clean office environment, and the latest machines to check my dry eyes. The medical assistant, Branndi, was very helpful and performed my testing. Both doctors reviewed all my results and answered all my questions without making me feel rushed. I drove about 2 hours for my consult and they were able to fit me in for same-day treatments which I really appreciated because I wanted to get started right away. I had to wait a little while (about 30 minutes, totally worth it) but they were really efficient and accommodating. I had BlephEx and OptiLight IPL today and left with some dry eye products (i asked if I could try Regenereyes and they had it in stock so I could start that same evening, I was able to stop using Restasis after 1 week on Regenereyes!!). ive beeen experiencing dry eye and redness issues for over 5 years and it recently worsened so I researched dry eye experts in the area. I found a bunch of practices that performed Lipiflow but I chose this office because they offer a wide option of treatments. I had my consult with Dr Younany and she went through a series of tests, reviewing the results and answering my questions without rushing me and she recommended ZEST, Lipiflow and Optilight. Then Dr Silani took over on the same day for the actual treatments which were gentle and easy. I had a bump on my eyelid for over 3 weeks before visiting Dr Silani and his incredible team. Before coming here, I tried warm compresses and visited urgent care who prescribed me antibiotic eye drop (both these help a little but didn’t get rid of the bump). Dr Silani diagnosed it an inflammatory stye (or chalazion) and to my surprise he mentioned a light therapy option called IPL. I truly appreciate Dr. Silani and I can’t thank him enough for truly saving my eyes from eternal redness and a sea of useless drops. My eyes were constantly painful, red, irritated, gooey, crusty, itchy, gritty and tired. I’d been going in circles with my previous eye doc who kept prescribing different (expensive) eye drops to help soothe what he diagnosed as “just eye allergies”. I’ve had seasonal allergies, but never so bad to affect my eyesight before. I stopped wearing any eye makeup, foundation and moisturizers near my eyes because every product (including hypoallergenic & sensitive skin specific brands) made them start watering, turn red and burn for days after. I always felt like I had something stuck in my eye and my eyelashes became brittle and started falling out. I’d been in constant pain and equally frustrated thinking this was all part of living with some unknown eye allergy. Dr. Silani told me that I have ocular rosacea and have only been aware of the painful side effects of that condition- recurring blepharitis, pain & red swollen eyes. I came to see Dr. Younany with a very severe case of dry eye. My eyes were swollen, angry red, manically itchy, teared so much that the skin at the inner corner of my eye would break down from being wiped repeated during the day. I used heavy nighttime HYLO ointment all day and all night. Nothing worked. It was overwhelming. I had been fighting this for years. She was the fourth doctor I had seen, and in this case, the fourth time was the charm. She is not only a lovely person, but she is a very skilled, and knowledgeable physician. She has a gentle caring way and is always concerned about your level of comfort during procedures. The dry eye treatments offered here go far beyond your normal eye doctor options. I wanted to share my personal experience with Regener-Eyes. I recently started using one drop per eye per day, used at night. I have Sjogren’s syndrome which is an auto immune disease that effects the meibomian glands. I have struggled with dry eye for many years. I used Restasis 5 years ago for about 6 months and had an adverse reaction. Since then I have been reliant on lubricant drops daily. Wearing the contact lens more than a few hours gets very uncomfortable and the rewetting drops don’t seem to help. Since I have been using Regner-Eyes, I have cut down on the use of my lubricant drops significantly, and even when I was ill these last couple of weeks, my eyes have had less inflammation. In the past whenever I was under the weather I would get swelling in my eyes because of the flare up of my autoimmune disease. I have had almost none of these symptoms in the last 2 weeks. Honestly, I am surprised at how comfortable my eyes are with Regenereyes and I don’t have to worry about the adverse effects that happen with of other types of dry eye medications.

Had an amazing eye exam earlier this week. It's hard to comprehend the value of the treatment you get here until you actually do it. It's completely different from any other eye exams I've ever experienced. I would compare to getting spa treatment for your eyes. Update a few years later! Still a patient of Dr. Kambiz Silani. His care, dedication, and knowledge is outstanding. He had been my eye doc for years now. Just had a lasik procedure. Dr Silani was in close contact with the surgeon constantly. Additionally, Dr Silani had checked in on me countless times. Dr. Silani truly cares for his patients and their health. He and his team are excellent. I'm thankful for his care. I highly recommend Dr. Silani. Truly wish all doctors had the kindness, knowledge and dedication for their patients.

My eyes were feeling slightly irritated, dry, & burning. Dr Silani & his team at Beverly Hills Optometry took the time to properly diagnose and treat my eyes, all at the same visit. They used a device called the Oculus (sounds futuristic) to capture images of my eyelids inside (infrared) & out. After reviewing results, they made it clear that my underlying root cause of my symptoms were related to the reduce outflow of oil within my eyelids. The treatment they prescribed was thermal expression with a device called TearCare. They mentioned the results may vary but I felt immediate relief and as a bonus my vision felt sharper and clearer after the session. Definitely recommend his office for your eye care needs especially your dry eye needs!

The most thorough eye exam I've ever had!! I had the pleasure of meeting the friendly staff who took all the proper COVID precautions. They had the most advanced technology, including a retinal photo, gland imaging and no puff of air! Dr. Younany was amazing! I have recently experienced more eye discomfort since working from home and she answered all of my questions. I had a history of blepharitis, which she explained contributed to my dry eyes. This was the first optometrist to tell me about treatments! I've already felt tremendous relief since having the ZEST treatment and I'm looking forward to my appointment for IPL. Dr. Younany and the Beverly Hills Optometry team made this the best experience!

I was vising from Canada and I had heard amazing things about Beverly Hills Optometry: Advanced Dry Eye Center. I made an appointment to have a complete exam, dry eye consults, and TearCare thermal expression procedure, ZEST deep cleaning of the eyelids to unblock oil glands. I have a history of lasik and heavy computer use. This place truly holds it’s amazing reputation. Dr. Silani is knowledgeable doctor, very patient and kind. Had a freak accident earlier this week & got a piece of glass in my eye. Dr. Silani squeezed me into his schedule the same day. He examined and cleaned my eye & gave me a contact lens bandage. I had the BEST EXPERIENCE at Beverly Hills Optometry! I came in for an eye exam and let me start by saying the whole staff is amazing. They were super helpful and present for any questions I had in filling out my forms. I always get nervous when things come close to my eyes and the assistant made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. I had the privilege of having both Dr. Younany and Dr. Silani present for my exam and they were super thorough, polite, and sufficient. Dr. Younany walked me through the whole process and all my questions and concerns were answered by both Doctors. One of my biggest concerns were my dry eyes and they were able to get me in for a treatment that same day! My work schedule is crazy so I thought that was amazing that I didn't have to come back. This review is way overdue. My husband and I have been going to Dr. Silani for 3 years now. We complete our yearly eye exams and recently my husband received the dry eye treatments. He is so incredibly amazing at what he does and knowledgeable that my brother visiting from Canada scheduled a complete eye exam and TearCare thermal expression procedure appointment (ZEST deep cleaning of the eyelids to unblock oil glands) as he has a history of lasik and heavy computer usage. Never had I have such a thorough and specialized exam. The atmosphere was calm and serene, with aroma therapy scents and calm sounds playing. It was amazing. Such an A+++ service. The doctor used a machine i never been shown before and to our amazement there was a little something there that was never caught by my old Optometrist that I’d been going to for years. I will start by saying that I have really bad eyes in that I stare at a computer all day and my allergies are awful so they're either always dry or itchy or both. I figured it couldn't hurt to try the Eye Massage. If anything, I'll at least get a few minutes to rest my eyes. I had no idea what to expect. Think of a warm, relaxing sonogram of your eyelids. It was a little weird at first considering I had never put anything on my eyelids that isn't makeup. After about a minute, I completely relaxed. After Dr. Silani finished my first eye, I opened both eyes and could really feel the difference between the one that was massaged and the one that wasn't. He finished both and for the first time, they didn't feel really dry or itchy or strained. I was immediately able to go back to work staring at a computer screen without feeling like my eyeballs are drying and shriveling up in their sockets. The effects last way longer than I thought they would and my eyes feel really good. I recommend this 100% and I recommend Dr. Silani 200% even if you're just going for a checkup because I am terrified of optometrists but he was really nice and helpful. He talked to me about how to deal with my allergy eyes without making me feel judged for not getting my eyes checked as often as I should. I made another appointment with him ASAP. Go now! It's worth it!!

Dr. S is attentive, meticulous, and generous with his eye care advice. For even follow-up visits, he treats your eyes like it's the first time he's seeing them and he takes pains to learn them well. I highly recommend his clinic for any eye care and def routine visits for everyone!

Dr. Silani's staff and equipment are so user-friendly, you may forget the puff of air! What an extensive selection of glasses and eye products. I left with a box of effective artificial tears and a great option for cold compresses for my sore eyes. I had lenses implanted in my eyes to correct severe near-sightedness less than a week ago. Dr. Silani has excellent bedside manners and you feel more like you are visiting a family member than seeing a doctor. He's informative, thorough, and caring. NOTE: Parking in the back! A rarity for BH and a lifesaver during peak hours.

My employer was having some trouble with his eyes and needed contacts. He was having trouble getting an appointment with his former eye doctor. Dr. Silani was not only able to give him an appointment the same week, but did a thorough comprehensive eye exam. He was able to figure out what was irritating his eyes and recommend a treatment. He took the time to listen to my employer and did not rush him. Dr. Silani gave him different options on prescriptions and some trial contacts to test out before he decided on the best one for him. My employer had a great experience and will be returning to Beverly Hills Optometry for all his eye care needs. Ashley is also extremely helpful. I cannot emphasize enough how absolutely wonderful Dr. Silani and his office are! Dr. Silani was one the best doctors I've seen in years, due not only to his expertise, but warm and friendly personality. When I visited him a month ago it was my first ever optometry appointment, so I had no idea what to expect. He was very patient and generous with his time; making sure I understood everything that he was doing and comfortable with all the procedures. When I asked an obsessive amount of questions he was able to explain everything simply, and not only did he not get frustrated with me, you could hear in his voice how excited he was to speak about his work.
